Adoption is undoubtedly our favourite area of practice as a firm. Through adoption, we have had the privilege over the years of securing countless children in families that have chosen them through adoption. Our lead counsel boasts almost twenty years’ experience in adoption practice.
The Adoption process is mainly a three-step process:
Assessment and placement stage: At this stage, the prospective adopter is assessed for fitness to adopt by a registered adoption society. The adoption society then places you with a child who has been declared free for adoption.
Court Process: After you have stayed with the child for three months, we come in and represent you in the court process.
Documentation stage: Once the court grants the adoption, we help you process the adoption certificate and the post adoption birth certificate.
